Historical snowfall at the Hotel Cerro de Hijar

 In Spain tourism

Doing honor to the place where we are located, The Sierra de las Nieves, Hotel guests who stayed the week of January 18 lived something exceptional, the biggest snowfall in Tolox since the 1980s.

The snow started that same day in the afternoon with fine snowflakes, these were increasing in size and intensity as you can see in the video attached below.

Usually we are familiarized to this happening in the Sierra de Las Nieves almost every year, but rarely in the height where the Hotel Cerro de Hijar is located and never with so much intensity and quantity.

The most impressive thing happened when we woke up the next day and we saw that the snowfall that had fallen during all the night covered not only completely the hotel, but the snow covered everything our eyes could cover leaving us an image for the memory.

Our hotel guests enjoyed a week with hiking trails surrounded by snow, taking relaxing baths in our spa admiring the new landscape and ending with a warm afternoon sitting in the living room by the fireplace that is lit all winter.

Nevada en el Hotel Cerro de Hijar 2017Without a doubt it was a week that will remain in the memory of the Hotel Cerro de Hijar and of that of our lucky clients of that week.
